Meredith Emerson bludgeoned, decapitated

I have been following this story since the day after he took her. As bad as it was, the fact that she was alive for those four days before he killed her, she did every thing to keep this guy out on the street, giving him the wrong pin numbers. Hoping the banks would pick up on the use of her cards and not working. I guess hoping that a red flag would go up. I don't think it did, not in time anyway. But the rules that the person that was abducted has been killed in what, 48 hours is in it's self crwal. I know hind sight is 20/20 but some things are law enforcement 101. By Wednesday they knew who this guy was what he looked like what he drove and that was through two sources. One was from the Blood Mountain parking lot where a hiker who had a bad feeling about this guy wrote down Hilton's tag number. He gave it to the local LE on that Wednesday. The other was someone who knew this guy for ten years because Hilton worked for him during that time. Hilton's old boss was a Mr. Tabor, The GBI was called in that Wednesday and after talking to the people who seen Meredith talking and walking on and off with Hilton on New Years day. They came up with a sketch of Hilton's likeness and put it out that Wednesday evening. The Union County LE received a call from Tabor who was sure the drawing was Hilton and he just about live up in this area, and Hilton had threaten his life, he was a bad man and he drove a white van etc. When Tabor hung up from the Sheriff's Office in a few minutes the GBI called back and talked with Tabor. To shorten this comment a bit Hilton called the next day and asked for his job back and to see if he could get a advance because he needed money. Meredith never gave him the right pin #'s, Tabor said he would and where he would leave the money. Hilton thanked him and said he would pick it up Friday or Saturday. Hilton called from a Huddle House in North Georgia. Tabor called the GBI within 15 min., this is the time given by the GBI,well Hilton drove off from the HH and drove up the street to a store in sight of the HH. My question is why did the GBI not call the Picken's County Sheriff's office and tell them where he just called from and pick Hilton up. Instead they called no one and it took them anywhere from 2 hours to four hours to get to the HH plenty of time to go back and gain her trust and then the next day he took her life after telling her he would let her go. As sick and horrible as he was to kill her, what excuse can there possibly be for not calling in the local Law and having a better chance to catch him before he took her life away. I really wish someone would tell me.
