L.A. County supervisors demand report on child torture case:

Los Angeles County supervisors on Tuesday demanded an immediate investigation into why a 5-year-old South Los Angeles boy suffered "unbearable" abuse for two years without detection by authorities or social service agencies.

And, on the same day, Los Angeles police announced the arrest of a third suspect in the case -- a 26-year-old babysitter who they say disfigured the boy's hands by burning them on a stove.

Police say that La Tanya Monikue Jones also conspired with the boy's mother, Starkeisha Brown, 24, and her live-in girlfriend, Krystal Denise Matthews, 21, to hide the abuse.

Nonetheless, Brown and Matthews shared their small South L.A. apartment with Brown's 5-year-old son. Over a two-year period, authorities said, the boy endured "unbearable psychological and physical abuse," including cigarette burns, near-starvation and beatings. The conditions went undetected by county officials until an anonymous caller alerted them earlier this month.

Brown appears to have regained custody of her son when she left prison in January 2007. But that March, a judge issued an arrest warrant for her in connection with parole violations. It is unclear why officials could not locate her.

Matthews also has a criminal history, including convictions for assault with a deadly weapon and forgery. In May, Matthews got into a fight with her younger brother, slashing him in the face with a box-cutter. She was arrested and eventually pleaded guilty.

Los Angeles police said the 5-year-old was hung by his hands and wrists from a doorjamb and beaten with some sort of leash or chain. He was routinely denied food and water, burned with cigarettes on his body and genitals, and left to sit in his own urine and feces.

After doing these kinds of stories for 5 years you'd think I'd be numb to something like this but I'm not. I'm still amazed the lengths that people will go to bring a new life into this world only to commit such atrocities.

One point for each person involved with the abuse (3), one point for the cover up, one point for the parole board losing track of her, another point for the parole board painting an abuser in a positive light, and one last point for social services once again failing to do their job. That's seven.

Killer dad said he had to 'get the demons' out:

Turlock, Stanislaus County -- A 27-year-old grocery store worker who police say punched and kicked his 2-year-old son to death on a country road calmly told motorists who stopped at the scene that he had to "get the demons" out of the boy, two witnesses said Monday.

Sergio Casian Aguiar of Turlock told people who urged him to stop late Saturday that the boy was "trash," the witnesses said. He asked for a knife at one point and, at another, said, "Look how they make toys now."

And when a Modesto police officer jumped off a helicopter and ordered Aguiar to stop at gunpoint, he raised his middle finger and continued his attack.

Officer Jerry Ramar, standing in a cow pasture behind an electric fence, shot Aguiar once in the forehead, the witnesses and police said. Aguiar died at the scene.

The reason a father with no criminal record would commit such a brutal killing was still a mystery on Monday. Authorities do not know whether Aguiar was drunk or on drugs, and toxicology reports on him and his son will not be available for three to four weeks, said sheriff's spokesman Deputy Royjindar Singh.

The boy was beaten so savagely that DNA tests will be needed to confirm his identity, Singh said. His name has not been released.

The crime shocked this agricultural community and stunned those who knew Aguiar and his wife, Frances, who had recently separated from her husband. She was in Southern California when her son was killed.

The roadway was still stained with blood Monday, and one neighbor had attached a teddy bear to a nearby stop sign.

Ramar jumped from the helicopter before it touched down, ran about 20 yards toward Aguiar and, while standing behind the pasture's fence, ordered him to stop beating the boy, Singh said.

McKain said Aguiar responded, "I'm not going to prison," and when he raised his middle finger, Ramar fired.

I wasn't going to do this one until I found out more about the suspect's mental history. However I think I can draw enough conclusions to assign points at this point and you maybe surprised by some of them. If I had to venture a guess I'd say the guy went nuts after separating with his wife not that that excuses the atrocity that he committed.

Two points for the brutal way in which he killed more than likely his own son, one point for being a crazy SOB, another point for taking things out on your son when it's more than likely your fault why your life is collapsing around you, and one last point for all the witnesses who did nothing to physically stop him. I mean how many of you were there? You couldn't have gotten together to physically restrain the man? Kudos to the marksman officer. That's five.

ADELANTO, Calif. — A top animal control officer outside of Los Angeles has resigned as he faces charges in the drowning of nearly 50 kittens.

Kevin Murphy, a head of animal control in Adelanto, Calif., was placed on paid leave in March after prosecutors accused the 36-year-old of drowning the kittens over a four-month period. He faces six counts of animal cruelty.

In case you haven't figured it out by now we like cute fluffy kittens here at News of Doom and we don't take kindly to animal abusing scumbags like you.

A Hayward man didn't call 911 after he intentionally dipped his girlfriend's 16-month-old son in scalding water, inflicting critical burns to 70 percent of his body and causing his skin to peel away, according to police.

Instead, 20-year-old Christian Perez phoned his sister and her husband, police said Tuesday. They picked him and the child up in their car.

But they, too, failed to immediately summon authorities.

During the next two hours, police say, the trio drove the toddler several miles across Hayward to a Walgreen's drugstore, bought ointment off the shelf and tried to apply it on the child.

They allegedly called relatives in Mexico to ask for advice, and tried to put the injured boy to bed at the sister's home.

Finally, at 1 p.m. Thursday, while driving around again, Perez called 911 after the child began having seizures and his sister told him he was going to die, Hayward police Lt. Chris Orrey said.

Alameda County prosecutors charged Perez with felony counts of child abuse, child endangerment, mayhem and torture.

His sister, Patricia Perez, 21, and her husband, Jose Gamez, 22, face felony child endangerment charges.

A couple other things that make this story even worse. The first one is that they claim they didn't take the child to the ER because they didn't have insurance. Personally I think that's bullshit. I think that either they didn't want to get picked up by the cops for child abuse or someone isn't in the country legally. Secondly their lawyer is trying the 'someone in the building flushed the toilet' defense.

Let me get out the Abacus of Doom for this one. One point for the scalding, one point for the 'father' not calling 911, two more points for his sister and her husband not calling 911, another point for calling Mexico to find out what to do (wtf?), another point for the ointment (again wtf?), another point for trying the 'no insurance' excuse, and one last point for the lawyer with the flushed toilet excuse. Police seek man in sex assault case:

Police in Santa Rosa have released a sketch of a man who carjacked a woman and her young daughter and forced the mother to drive to a dark neighborhood, where he sexually assaulted and stabbed the woman while her child was in the car.

The incident began a few minutes before 6 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of a Safeway on Yulupa Avenue in a residential area of east Santa Rosa. The woman, a 29-year-old Santa Rosa resident, was loading groceries into her car when the suspect approached her.

He threatened to hurt her preschool-age daughter if the woman did not do what he said, according to police. The suspect was armed with an unidentified weapon used in the stabbing, police said.

The suspect forced the woman to drive 2 miles to a dark area on Montgomery Drive, where he assaulted and stabbed her. He did not injure the girl. The suspect then fled, leaving the woman and her daughter in the car.

The suspect is described as a Filipino or Asian man in his early 30s, about 5-foot-7 with a slender build and crooked bottom teeth. He was wearing a dark hat and a dark jacket at the time of the attack.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call Santa Rosa police at (707) 543-3595.

GRANITE BAY, Calif. -- A mother was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of drowning her 8-day-old baby girl, Placer County sheriff's officials said.

Authorities said they responded to a 911 call and found an unresponsive infant in Granite Bay Sunday morning.

Fire personnel found Faith Evelyn Fuelling not breathing, Lt. Jeff Ausnow said.

Detectives said they are still investigating the cause of death, including information that Faith's 27-year-old mother, Kristina Fuelling, drowned the baby.

Fuelling was arrested on suspicion of homicide and booked into the Placer County Jail in Auburn, deputies said.

Start sterilizing everybody at birth from now on. We obviously don't deserve to live on as a species.

California Woman Mauled, Killed by Pack of Pit Bulls:

BARSTOW, Calif. — A San Bernardino County woman was mauled to death by a pack of pit bulls.

The Sheriff's Department says deputies were called to a home in Yermo at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. They found 45-year-old Kelly Caldwell lying in the street. She later died at a hospital.

Authorities say three dogs surrounded and attacked Caldwell, then ran to a nearby house.

One dog was shot to death by deputies when it returned to the scene and acted aggressively as paramedics were trying to save Caldwell's life.

A second dog was shot to death Wednesday morning when it, too returned. Deputies say it became aggressive as an animal control officer was trying to capture it.

Authorities say at least one dog belonged to a neighbor.

I get the feeling the 'neighbor' was one of the forms of human trash (ie trailer trash, etc.) because that's all I ever see with pit bulls, especially those who let them run loose.

Two men have been charged with murder in the slaying of a pregnant woman whose home in an unincorporated area north of Richmond was sprayed with gunfire the night before she was to have been married, authorities said Tuesday.

Robert Valentino Hernandez III, 19, and Robert Joe Leyva, 22, are each charged with two counts of murder and one count of shooting at an inhabited dwelling.

Hernandez fired the shots from a high-powered assault rifle Feb. 13 that killed Luz Maria Aguilar-Bucio, a 32-year-old mother of three, and her fetus in the unincorporated Montalvin Manor neighborhood, said Contra Costa County sheriff's Capt. Dan Terry.

A motive for the shooting isn't clear, but neither Aguilar-Bucio nor her fiance, Roberto Orellana, knew the suspects, Terry said.

Aguilar-Bucio and Orellana were in bed about 11 p.m. when the shots slammed into their home on Michele Drive.

Here's hoping these two assclowns get something slammed into them on their prison wedding night.
